Myggenes: scratches from the new build removed from about 30 windows

The windows on the new trawler Myggenes were protected with film during the build. When the film was removed incorrectly, it left scratches on both the inside and the outside of the glass. In February 2025 we ground and polished about 30 windows at Karstensens Skibsværft in Skagen – about 10–12 days of work.

The job

The problem

The windows were protected with film during the build. When the film was removed incorrectly, it left scratches on both sides of about 30 windows.

What we did

We masked the wheelhouse, then ground and polished the scratches inside and outside – about 10–12 days of work at the shipyard in Skagen.

The result

Scratch-free glass on both sides – without replacing a single window.
